I was lucky enough to receive a very generous gift voucher from a friend for Dundrum Town Centre. You can use it in any of the stores in the centre. I used it to get my shellac nails in Pink Beauty Emporium, as well as some new beauty products. I was so happy to receive the voucher because I have put myself on a spending ban to save for my holiday this summer!
I first went to Kiehl’s. Last week on Xpose I saw that a serum from Kiehl’s has been voted as the ultimate ‘cult/hero’ beauty product by the Xpose Beauty Panel (you can have a look at the clip on the TV3 website here if your interested). I went in to Keihl’s for a look and the sales assistant knew straight away what I was looking for because she said she sold out of the serum straight after the programme was aired!! I decided to go for a moisturiser instead. I am definitely trying to spend more money and time on skincare – I want to look after my skin and the minimum you need is an excellent moisturiser! I bought “Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Mousturizer SPF 15”, which was €28.50 for 125ml. I also got two samples as well – I love free samples!
Next I practically ran to my favourite place in the shopping centre: the Mac stand in BT2’s. I was instantly drawn to the lipstick stand, as I often am. I was looking for ‘Chatterbox’ which is a really nice baby pink but I decided to go for ‘Saint Germain’ instead. This is a really light pink, and now I am somewhat worried that it is a bit too light for my pale skin. ‘Saint Germain’ cost €18:
Then I went away and don’t ask me how but I ended up coming back to Mac AGAIN, at which point I bought another lipstick! This time I went for a lipstick from the Mineralize range, I bought a colour which was suggested by a sales assistant based on my green eyes. I would never have thought of picking this colour but I love it! On the bullet it looks a very deep purple with a tint of red but it comes out a lot paler (check out a FOTD post here where I am wearing this new lipstick). It’s called ‘All Out Gorgeous’ and cost €26:
(P.S. For any other Mac Studio Fix Fluid fan’s who are still trying to get their hands on NW10 they still haven’t got it in to Mac in Dundrum. I have given them my number to ring me when they get it in . . . I’m waiting around 6 weeks or 2 months now!)
Next I went to Urban Decay. I have been craving the ‘Smoked’ palette for ages! Oh how happy I am to be able to get it! I was trying to decide between the Naked Basics palette or the Smoked palette, but I decided that because I already have Naked and Naked 2 that I would go for Smoked. It costs €40 which I think is a total bargain considering you get the palette with 10 colours, their new blackest black eyeliner ‘Perversion’ and a small Primer Potion. Plus it comes with an amazing booklet that gives you around 10 different looks, I can’t wait to try a few!
Finally, down to Inglot. I had gotten a sample of their lightest foundation LW100 previously, and although I think the coverage is a bit light the colour is perfect for me (i.e., practically ghost) so I picked this up. It’s called AMC Cream Foundation and the colour is LW100. I will do a review of this soon for fellow ghosts because it is definitely a good colour for our pale Irish skin.
I have about a thousand pink or peach blushers so I am trying to get some other colours. I went for a deep pink/purple one from the Inglot AMC Cream Blush range called No. 81.
I am delighted with this haul, thanks to my kind friend (Thanks Tara if your reading this – you really didn’t need to give me anything!)! I will definitely be doing some reviews of these products or FOTD’s so keep an eye on the blog!
