I was recently at the flagship Boots store in the Republic of Ireland. This is located in Blanchardstown centre and it is UH-MAZING!!! They carry Benefit, Lancôme, No.7, Clarins and a good few other big brands. I ended up getting some Real Techniques by Samantha Chapman brushes! There is a HUGE hype about these brushes and a lot of beauty bloggers have been talking about them recently. The reviews so far seem to be great. A huge selling point for these brushes is that they are very high quality, but are significantly cheaper than the prices you pay for Mac brushes!
First I picked up the ‘Core Collection’ set for €28.99 (orange brushes in below pic). This contains the ‘Buffing Brush’, ‘Contour Brush’, ‘Pointed Foundation Brush’ and ‘Detailer Brush’. My first impression is that the set is great value for €28.99! All of these brushes are something you will use every single day! The next set I picked up was the ‘Starter Set’ which also cost €28.99 (purple brushes in below pic). These brushes are all for use on eyes and it contains ‘Base Shadow Brush’, ‘Deluxe Crease Brush’, ‘Accent Brush’, ‘Pixel-Point Eyeliner Brush’ and ‘Brow Brush’.
I have seen fantastic reviews about the ‘Blush Brush’ so I got this as well. It was €12.99. Finally, I had also seen a lot of bloggers using the Real Techniques ‘Fine Liner Brush’ with an Inglot gel liner which I have, so I decided to get this as well (At this stage my debit card was starting to have heart palpitations!!!). I know there is an eyeliner brush in the ‘Starter Set’ but the ‘Fine Liner Brush’ is much smaller. It cost €9.29.
I can’t wait to start using the brushes and I’ll definitely give a review of them in a month or so when I have gotten a good bit of use with them! The fact that they are available in Boots is great I think as it makes it a lot easier to get decent brushes!
